PIercing Frequently Asked Questions

  • How much will my piercing cost?

I charge $60 per piercing which will include implant grade astm f-136 titanium jewelry. This price is for each individual piercing. If you want multiple piercings (even pairs) you will be charged multiple $60 fees. (2 piercings = $120)

Surface anchors/bars and genital piercings start at $100.

I sell aftercare that I highly suggest getting at the time of your service for $10. If not purchased here, you will need to buy aftercare to take care of your piercing(s).

A downsizing is recommended on many piercings which are pierced with posts long enough to accommodate swelling in the initial healing phase. The downsizing (if done with me) will be $15 which is the price of the shorter post we’ll be installing. This is done 4-8 weeks after the initial piercing.

  • Will I perform a snake eye piercing? (or any horizontal tongue piercing)

I will not pierce tongues sideways whatsoever! Tongues are multiple muscles that should NOT be pierced together. Piercing the muscles together WILL restrict movement and cause damage to your body. Secondly, jewelry near the tip of your tongue is bad due to when your tongue is at rest it WILL sit against your tooth and gumline and can cause irreversible damage.

  • How do I take care of my piercing?

I always go in to detail about taking care of a piercing at the time of the piercing appointment but I also have information for you to review and follow here.

  • How old do I need to be to get a body piercing?

    18+ ID required

16+ Most body piercings (no private or surface piercings) - Birth Certificate & Parent ID required.

Earlobes Only- 3-12 months and 7+ years old - Birth Certificate & Parent ID required

Legal Guardians may sign for a minor instead of a parent if they are present with a LEGAL document stating they have the right to make decisions for the minor. The document MUST BE NOTARIZED to be legal.

If your child is under 7 and still wants their ears pierced, please message me and we can discuss it further.

  • What is needed for my baby to get their ears pierced?

I pierce babies’ earlobes aged 3 - 12 months. Then once again when the child is old enough to comprehend consent & aftercare. This is usually around 7 years old. For babies I require you bring a blanket to swaddle the baby along with another person that you trust to assist in holding the baby secure in order to safely perform the piercings. All Minors must be with a parent at time of piercing and have their birth certificate along with an ID for the parent who is consenting.

  • Can I bring my own jewelry?

All piercings must be done with jewelry that I supply from my reputable suppliers.

If you’d like a more budget friendly option for jewelry, I offer surgical steel jewelry for a lower price. Many people heal perfectly fine using this jewelry. I always suggest titanium when your budget allows for it though. *Only titanium for minors.

  • Can I purchase/order jewelry from you?

Yes! Whether you want to order something special for a healed piercing or want to be pierced with a certain piece, if it comes from one of my jewelry suppliers I can order it for you and we can install it when it comes in!

  • Do I have to see you to swap my jewelry?

Not necessarily. I’m happy to help with jewelry changes or removals but once your piercing is fully healed you are welcome to change it at home if you feel up to it.

  • I'm struggling to remove the topper from my stud, what do I do?

Have you tried separating the two pieces by pulling them in opposite directions in a firm pull? I typically use “threadless” jewelry rather than threaded which do not require twisting or screwing toppers. The connection style should be one or the other with threadless or threaded.

You’re always welcome to schedule a jewelry change with me if you need assistance.
